Seeing as it’s the 20th anniversary of Britpop, here is a nice gallery of some of it’s best albums(or my favourites anyway)…

  1. I remember all of these! Although I’ve always hated Ocean Colour Scene. One I really loved was Attack of the Grey Lantern by Mansun

  2. Oasis – What’s the Story 😀

  3. Great choices – especially the triple Blur! Very pleased to see Different Class on there. I haven’t heard the Spiritualized one but it’s on the 1001 list.

  4. Wow, that really takes me back. Some great choices. Urban Hymns was quite something. Might have it as my fave of those.

TWENTY years? Cripes, I feel old now. So many of my favourites are on that list. I miss britpop. (I say that but I recreate it on my iPod every day!

    • What are your faves Giorge, apart from Stereophonics?

Well, they weren’t Britpop, were they? I love Oasis (of course!) The Verve, Blur and the Stone Roses – though I’m not sure if they count. People often ask if you could go back in time, where would you go? I always think I’d love to be in Britain during the Britpop era. That’s when music was at its best

      • I certainly seemed good, maybe it’s because I was between 16 and 18 though and everything was starting to get exciting then!
